Booking Policy
To secure your appointment, a booking fee of $50–$100 (depending on the service booked) is required. This fee will be deducted from your treatment cost on the day.
You will receive a reminder email one week before your appointment and a confirmation SMS 48 hours prior. Please confirm your attendance by replying Yes to the text message. If the appointment no longer suits, we encourage you to reschedule at this time.

Bookings can also be made by calling/texting 0420 670 410. Instagram and Facebook messages are not recommended for bookings as these communication channels are not regularly monitored.

We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours, but messages sent outside business hours may have a delayed reply

Cancellation & No-Show Policy
When you book an appointment at Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing, that time is reserved just for you. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows impact our ability to accommodate other clients.

Cancellation Notice & Fees

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations within 24 hours or failure to attend your appointment will result in your $50–$100 booking fee being forfeited.

If a booking fee was not paid, a late cancellation fee will be charged and must be settled before future bookings can be made.

No refunds will be given for forfeited booking fees.

Cancellations must be made via call or text to 0420 670 410 – Facebook or Instagram messages are not accepted for cancellations.

If you fail to attend two appointments without notice, we will be unable to rebook you in the future.

While we understand that unforeseen circumstances such as illness or family emergencies can arise, the cancellation policy still applies to help cover the time allocated for your appointment.

REFUSAL TO TREAT POLICY
Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing is registered to perform Cosmetic Injectable treatments. In order to uphold compliance, Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing will refuse to treat in the circumstances, listed below. Compliance is in accordance with statutory body mandates. Ethical and professional standards are also considered for the suitability of the patient for a treatment, to assure the best possible outcome has been sought by Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing.
- Disruptive Behaviour: Any behaviour that is deemed disruptive and may cause harm to the patient or the operator, or that which causes concern, based on past behaviour.
- Legal requirements: Any circumstances pertaining to the patient which are not compliant with legal mandates relating to the treatment in accordance with relevant statutory bodies.
- Safety reasons: If the indications for the treatment are not met by the patient, thus giving reasonable doubt for the safety of the treatment.
Further consideration is required, prior to treatment through ascertaining.

Is the treatment really wanted? If it is deemed that the patient has been coerced into having a treatment by a third party, more information may be sought prior to a treatment being performed by Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing.

Is the treatment wanted for the right reasons? If there is a history of mental illness that displays an unhealthy attitude towards their appearance which may cause an unattainable expectation of the results.

Is the treatment sought actually the right treatment to get the desired result? If a patient is requesting a treatment that is not going to provide them with the best possible outcome. Unsuitable treatments will not be performed. Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing will use their expertise to guide the patient to the treatment that is more ideally suited.

Are the expectations of results realistic? If the patient is unwilling to moderate their unrealistic expectations once the consultation is completed, Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing may refuse treatment to protect the professional reputation of the business, knowing that unrealistic expectations will lead to dissatisfaction of results. All endeavours will be made to establish realistic expectations of results.

Are there any medical conditions that cause risk? Some conditions are contraindicated for treatment and a thorough consultation will be conducted to ensure the patient’s safety. Any contraindicated conditions may lead to poor outcomes or worse. These are not always reasons to refuse treatment but will be discussed with the patient prior to treatment, so that they are prepared for this outcome and can plan around it, if necessary.

Decision-making framework for nursing and midwifery
Nurses working in the area of cosmetic procedures are required to know and comply with relevant state and territory drugs and poisons legislation (however titled) regarding using, obtaining, selling, storing, prescribing, administering and supplying scheduled medicines. Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing is also compliant with local policies, protocols and guidelines when undertaking cosmetic procedures.

REFUND POLICY
Please be certain of the services and/or products you are purchasing. Refunds cannot be offered for change of mind.
TREATMENTS

As there is no guarantee with any type of medical procedures it is important that the patient understands procedures are not an exact science and results will vary from person to person. Whatever the outcome, the product and or service has still been provided, therefore it is not possible for Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing to refund the procedure fees.

Refunds, reimbursements or compensation are not provided to clients if treatment reactions or side effects occur.

Refunds are not provided if treatment is unsuccessful or if results are not in line with the average person
PURCHASE OF RETAIL PRODUCTS

Refunds will be provided where required by Australian Consumer Law.

Skinsational Cosmetic Nursing reserves the right to refuse a refund, exchange or credit voucher for any open/used products or change of mind. Certain types of items cannot be returned. Such as, customised products and perishable goods.
